We know it is off to a great start and want to make sure you have the
information you need. The USD 475 Family Handbook is available at
your school’s webpage. You can go to: http://

Handbook can be found under the Parent Resources tab. This
Handbook provides you with more information about our schools and
procedures. Print copies were also sent home recently.
With our newly constructed secure entrance we have implemented
new procedures for our student’s safety. Parents are asked to limit
their interaction with their child/children each day. Instructional time
is valuable and limited, therefore should not be interrupted unless
absolutely necessary. If you need to visit your child’s teacher or
classroom, please make prior arrangements so a schedule may be

A Note from our Food Secretary
If you have not updated your Food Application for Free/Reduced Lunch for this school year, please do as soon as you can. They will expire on September 23rd.
A Note from the School Nurse
To all Kindergarten and New Student Parents: Please send a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, Shot Record and Physical for our files.
Join us for our second meeting on September 10th at 4:30 p.m. We would love to have you join our team and support the staff and students during the 2019-2020 school year!
School Start and Release Times
School begins at 8 a.m. and students are dismissed at 3:15 p.m.
Be sure to call in your child’s absence by 8:30 a.m. If a parent doesn’t call, the absence is unexcused.
Pick up Zones
Students are released to the front of the building at 3:15 p.m. and wait with their teacher. All students should be picked up by 3:30 p.m. Parents are reminded to not block driveways when waiting for their children after school. Students are asked to walk on the sidewalks and respect
Picture day will be Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
