Students will go outside for recess if the temperature or wind chill factor is above 20 degrees. Please keep your winter safety guidelines near in case we have a bad winter storm. It lists the radio stations to listen to for the school cancellations or early dismissals.
Hands-free is the way to be-for cold and flu prevention. Don’t touch your face with your hands during cold and flu season. Germs that cause colds and flu that are on your hands will not enter your body unless you touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
National School Counseling Week
This year’s theme is School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans
with several activities planned for the week of February 3-7.
New Westwood Gym Ribbon Cutting
On Wednesday, February 12th please join us at 1:30 p.m. for the ribbon cutting ceremony on our new Westwood Gym. Come and see this new space that we are extremely thankful for!
Valentine’s Day Parties
Classroom Valentine’s Day parties will be held on Friday, February 14th. Students are asked to wear hearts or red, pink, and white that day. Healthy party snacks are encouraged.
Be sure to call in your child’s absence by 8:30 a.m. If a parent doesn’t call, the absence is unexcused.
All absences and tardies for appointments need a doctor’s note for our files.

We encourage all parents to join our Site Council meeting on
Friday, February 14th at 12:00. This group serves to provide advice and counsel on the implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
